well hello there
*intersectionality: analytical tool for studying, understanding and responding to the ways in which sex and gender intersect with other personal characteristics/identities, and how these intersections contribute to unique experiences of discrimination.
35 Above is a non-profit Baltic research association dedicated to promoting human rights and exploring societal intersectionalities within European geographical context. Our mission is to bridge the gap between data and social policies, utilizing ethical and sustainable approaches to foster the growth of inclusive communities.
We aim to develop sustainable research methodologies for studying intricate topics such as power dynamics, violence, gender, public policy, and development. Our vision is to contribute to a better understanding of these subjects through rigorous analysis and evidence-based approaches.
Our main function is to operate as an association however we also aim to create partnerships outside of civil sector. We are concerned with both corporative world and public policy making. One does not function in separate spheres, hence 35 above is interested with various mediums in order to research and provide recommendations for bettering social developments.
The idea for the association was born from the shared experiences of Justine and Agata, the founders of 35 above. Both of them had a strong background in supporting social initiatives and actively participating in such activities. After gaining valuable experience in the corporate world, they realized that it is time to bridge the gap between their passion for social causes and their business expertise, aiming to bring together the best aspects of both worlds and create an association that would promote corporate responsibility and accountability.
Join us on our journey as we endeavor to create a better future for all. Together we can disrupt to rebuild!
